It’s been almost a week since Pressgram 2.0 has been released to the App Store and I’ve had some time to publish a few photos. I’m still getting used to not seeing a newsfeed when I open the app. 😉 Here’s the post I wrote about Pressgram a few months ago.
Pressgram 2.0 is all about publishing photos now. And now there are many options where you can publish your images. I like that I can choose to post to my blog only, or just to twitter or a combination of Google+ and Facebook etc. Currently I have the jetpack plugin and it is set up to post to G+, my Facebook fan page and Twitter when I post from Pressgram. Another cool feature is that if you have multiple twitter or G+ accounts, you can publish to all of them at the same time. Oh yeah, and you’re not bound to the 1:1 square format for your photos anymore!
The app comes with the basic fundamentals like cropping and a some color filters. There are in app purchases for more advanced features like core lighting, borders, textures, refinement etc. I normally use AfterLight to edit most of my images so I won’t need the other features at this time. I did purchase the custom watermark and text treatment features. I’m hoping in a future update I can use my own graphic watermark. But having my web address on the bottom of each photo is cool too.
With the new changes, Pressgram can no longer be looked at as an “Instagram” knock off. John has created and built an app that surpassed many expectations and I suspect more will be getting the app soon. There are so many benefits that will help grow your business, brand and traffic to your blog. 🙂
Below is a photo I took last Saturday via Pressgram 2.0
